Our Design Process
A Master Landscape Design Plan is the first step to brilliant outdoor design. GreenScapes conceptualizes the best use of a given space to provide you, the client, with beautiful and efficient design. Also, sketching everything out on paper communicates expectations before the first hole is dug. In the end, you have a gorgeous outdoor presence that meets your expectations and our quality of service.
Design Process & Cost
When you schedule a design consultation with one of our landscape designers, we will meet and listen to you–get to know you, so we can prepare a landscape design tailored to your needs. The consultation meeting usually takes about 30-45 minutes where we will discuss your needs/ wants and goals for your property.
In preparation for design consultation, we ask that you fill out the client questionnaire. This will help us identify your needs and desires while helping us design the landscape right for you. We also recommend that you bring a copy of your property plot map. This will contain all the specific property dimensions and house footprint and allow us to create a more precise concept design layout.
By the end of the meeting, you can decide whether we are a good fit to move forward with a design.
Concept Design and preliminary estimates
Concept designs will provide you a general overview of enhancements that we are proposing. This includes locations of hardscape elements, planting beds, etc. Specific plants and materials will be reserved for the final design meeting. The goal of this design meeting is to make sure that we are on track with your specific goals for your landscape.
At this time, it is important to discuss an allocation budget. At the consultation, we will have talked about some initial numbers for the project. We will have another conversation as we want to be sure that we are designing within the budget.
Planning and Specifications
At the final presentation of the Landscape Master Plan. This meeting will present to the client a drawing showing detail landscape enhancement locations, materials, and a plant schedule. An irrigation and lighting plan will also be presented if applicable. After this, we will go over the Proposal for Installation of the project.
If you choose to proceed with the landscape installation, a preliminary start date for your project will be given after the contract is signed and the deposit is collected. This secures your spot on the schedule and allows us to begin procuring materials. We will then schedule a pre-construction meeting to layout the plan, introduce the client to the site superintendent and answer any additional questions.
We want you to be happy with your design from design consult to final walkthrough that is why we have all our client review the final design before the project begins.
Contract and Scheduling
Once the design is approved and contract signed, we begin the process of defining the onsite schedule.
Our team foremen audit the site to prepare the construction team for arrival on day one of the project, In order to stay on schedule and avoid cost over runs, we have prep team develop a day to day plan.
There will be a lot of action on the first day of construction. During this process, we make every effort not to disrupt your daily schedule or that of your neighbors or adjacent business.
As the project is in its final stage, we will prepare you for the final walk thru and make sure every detail meets your approval. We strive to make every project meet the expectation of the design and exemplify the passion of our craftsmen and designers
